Rene Howe fired a second-half hat-trick as Rochdale consolidated their place in the play-off places with victory over 10-man Grimsby.
The visitors had striker Nathan Jarman sent off for a second bookable offence at the end of a scrappy first-half.
Rochdale went ahead when Howe headed in Adam Rundle's cross at the back post and he then hammered in a second.
Andy Taylor's late header set up a nervous finish, but Howe settled things with his third in injury-time.
