Rochdale keeper Matt Gilks' late blunder handed Barnet a share of the spoils at Underhill.
Gilks spilled Ian Hendon's long punt and Giuliano Grazioli was on the spot to cash in and head home from three yards out.
Rochdale took the lead when Rickie Lambert crossed for Grant Holt to rise unchallenged and head powerfully home.
Lambert also hit the cross bar and volleyed wide at the near post from a Neil Brisco cross.
