Exeter City crashed to their fourth home league defeat of the season as Rochdale's Clive Platt struck in the last minute to seal a 1-0 win.

Exeter suffered from an attack of ineffective finishing and paid the full penalty despite dominating the game for long periods.

With just a minute left on the clock, Jamie Campbell received his second yellow card of the day for a foul on Phil Hadland and was sent off.

And from the resulting Lee Todd free-kick, Platt swept home to seal Dale's first win at St James Park for 37 years.

The defeat also extended Exeter's winless streak to seven games.
